Description

A rich and creamy side dish made with fresh spinach, butter, cream, and seasonings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the spinach.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the flour and stir for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  5. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add the spinach, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  7. Cook until the spinach is wilted and tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  8. Serve warm.
