Description

A rich and creamy seafood chowder filled with shrimp, scallops, and clams.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup scallops
  • 1 cup clams, drained
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
  2. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add the broth, whisking until smooth.
  4. Add the diced potatoes and thyme; simmer until the potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, shrimp, scallops, and clams.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
