Description

A delicious creamy vodka gnocchi that is perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound gnocchi
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the vodka to the skillet and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked gnocchi and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
  • Feel free to add spinach or other vegetables for added nutrition.
