- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- additional granulated sugar for topping
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, butter, vanilla extract, and salt over medium heat.
- Stir until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Once cooled, shape the mixture into small balls.
- Roll the brigadeiros in heavy cream, then in granulated sugar to mimic the brûlée topping.
- Chill them in the refrigerator before serving.
Notes
- For an extra touch, use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar on top when serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
