Description

Deliciously crispy chicken gizzard bites, perfect for a snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken gizzards
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Soak the chicken gizzards in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove gizzards from buttermilk and dredge them in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the gizzards in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Remove gizzards and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
