Description

A rich and indulgent chocolate mousse torte that is perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and butter together over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, flour, salt, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until set. Let cool.
  6. For the mousse, whip heavy cream to soft peaks and fold into the cooled chocolate mixture.
  7. Spoon mousse over the cooled cake and refrigerate until set.
  8. Serve chilled with whipped cream on top.
