Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust for a 9-inch quiche
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Gruyere or Swiss)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  4. Spread the cooked mushrooms in the pie crust and sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the filling.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
