Description

These delicious rosemary pretzels are infused with the rich flavor of gooey mozzarella, making them an irresistible snack for any occasion!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 egg, beaten (for wash)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and rosemary to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Divide dough into equal pieces and shape into pretzels.
  6. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water and dip pretzels for 30 seconds.
  7. Place pretzels on baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with salt.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven, sprinkle mozzarella on top, and return to oven until melted.
