Description

A rich, creamy black cheesecake that is both decadent and visually stunning.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups crushed Oreo cookies
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup black cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup heavy cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Blend in the sour cream, black cocoa powder, and flour until fully combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  8. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, whip the heavy cream and top the cheesecake as desired.

Notes

  • For a firmer cheesecake, bake a little longer.
  • Can be topped with chocolate ganache or berries for added flavors.
