Ingredients

- 1 cup mixed dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, and apricots)
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the mixed dried fruit and nuts.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
Notes
- For a more festive flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
