A delicious and unique recipe combining fermented cabbage with rich lard roast.
Ingredients

- 1 head fermented cabbage
- 2 pounds lard
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large roasting pan, combine the lard with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
- Place the fermented cabbage on top of the lard in the roasting pan.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and roast for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for an additional 30 minutes to allow the top to crisp.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- The longer the cabbage ferments, the stronger the flavor will be.
- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes.
