Description

A traditional Finnish soup featuring salmon, potatoes, and dill cooked in a creamy broth.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon, cut into pieces
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the potatoes, onion, and carrots. Cook until tender.
  3. Add the salmon and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cream and dill, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with additional dill if desired.
