Description

A healthy and gluten-free alternative to traditional bread made from chickpeas.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpeas, cooked
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a blender, combine the cooked chickpeas, water, olive oil, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast.
  3. Blend until smooth and pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan.
  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • This bread is best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
  • Feel free to add herbs and spices for extra flavor.
