A delicious French dessert, Flaugnarde is a custard-like dish made with strawberries.

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Powdered sugar for dusting, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Spread the strawberries in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour and salt; whisk until combined.
- Pour the batter over the strawberries.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until puffed and golden.
- Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Can be made with other fruits such as peaches or cherries.
