Garlic Parmesan Scallops

Description

Deliciously seared scallops in a garlic Parmesan sauce that is rich and flavorful.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sea scallops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove scallops and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  7. Add the Parmesan cheese and parsley; mix well.
  8. Return scallops to the skillet; coat with the garlic Parmesan sauce.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan when searing scallops for best results.
  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
