Description
Deliciously seared scallops in a garlic Parmesan sauce that is rich and flavorful.
Ingredients

- 1 pound sea scallops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season scallops with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove scallops and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and parsley; mix well.
- Return scallops to the skillet; coat with the garlic Parmesan sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the pan when searing scallops for best results.
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
