Description

These Gingerbread Latte Mousse Domes are a delightful, creamy treat that combines the flavors of gingerbread and coffee, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine half of the heavy cream, sugar, coffee, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and heat until warm.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks until pale and thick.
  3. Gradually add warm cream mixture to egg yolks while whisking.
  4. Return mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
  5. Dissolve gelatin in water and mix into the creamy mixture.
  6. Whip remaining heavy cream to stiff peaks and fold into mixture.
  7. Pour into molds and chill until set.
  8. Unmold and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg before serving.
