Description

These delightful gingerbread truffles are a perfect festive treat, combining the warm flavors of gingerbread with rich chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed gingerbread cookies
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed gingerbread cookies, cream cheese, powdered sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
  2. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Freeze the truffles for about 30 minutes.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chopped semisweet chocolate and vegetable oil. Melt until smooth.
  6. Dip each frozen truffle into the melted chocolate, coating thoroughly.
  7. Return the chocolate-covered truffles to the baking sheet and let set until the chocolate hardens.
