Description
A classic British dish, Gordon Ramsay’s Scotch Eggs are a flavorful mix of seasoned sausage meat wrapped around a perfectly boiled egg, breaded and fried to golden perfection.

- 4 large eggs
- 400g sausage meat
- 100g breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 large egg, beaten
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Hard boil the eggs, then cool them in ice water.
- Peel the eggs and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the sausage meat with mustard powder, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Take a portion of sausage mix and flatten it in your palm, add an egg and wrap the sausage around it.
- Coat the sausage-wrapped egg in flour, dip in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan and fry the Scotch eggs until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- Serve with mustard or a dipping sauce of your choice.
- These can be enjoyed hot or cold, making them perfect for picnics.
