Ingredients
- Ground beef or lamb, 2 pounds
- Breadcrumbs, 1 cup
- Grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup
- Fresh parsley, chopped, 1/4 cup
- Garlic, minced, 2 cloves
- Dried oregano, 1 teaspoon
- Salt, 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon
- Large egg, 1
- Olive oil, 2 tablespoons
- Baby potatoes, halved, 2 pounds
- Paprika, 1 teaspoon
- Dried thyme, 1 teaspoon
- Lemon, sliced, 1
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Blend until cohesive.
- Shape the mixture into oval patties, about half an inch thick, and arrange them on one side of the sheet pan.
- In another bowl, coat the halved baby potatoes with olive oil, paprika, thyme, and a sprinkle of salt.
- Lay the seasoned potatoes on the opposite side of the sheet pan, cut sides facing down.
- Place lemon slices atop both the meat patties and potatoes.
- Slide the sheet pan into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the patties are cooked and the potatoes are golden and tender.
- Remove the pan from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
