Description
A delicious mint chocolate dessert that captures the essence of Andes mints at home.
Ingredients

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup green mint chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butter together in a double boiler.
- Once melted, pour into a greased 9×9 inch pan and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mint chocolate chips, powdered sugar, peppermint extract, and salt until smooth.
- Spread the mint mixture over the cooled chocolate layer.
- Melt the remaining chocolate chips and pour over the mint layer, spreading evenly.
- Chill in the refrigerator until set, then cut into squares.
Notes
- For a stronger mint flavor, increase the amount of peppermint extract.
- These mints can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
