Description

Decadent chocolate truffles infused with the delicate flavor of honey and lavender.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon culinary lavender
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just boiling. Remove from heat and add the honey and lavender, let steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain the lavender and pour the cream mixture over the chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours, or until firm.
  4. Once firm, use a melon baller or teaspoon to scoop out small balls and roll them in your hands to shape them into truffles.
  5. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or chopped nuts to coat.
  6. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
