Description

This Honey-Mustard Baked Ham with Cloves is a delicious and festive dish perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 6-8 pounds)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 10 whole cloves


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, ground cloves, black pepper, and cinnamon.
  3. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern and insert whole cloves into the intersections.
  4. Brush the honey-mustard mixture all over the ham, reserving some for glazing.
  5. Place the ham in a roasting pan and cover loosely with foil.
  6. Bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the reserved glaze.
  7. Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes of baking for a caramelized finish.
  8. Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • For extra flavor, let the ham marinate with the glaze overnight in the fridge.
