Description

A unique dish featuring finely chopped beef heart combined with the sharp flavor of horseradish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef heart
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Crackers for serving


Instructions

  1. Trim any fat from the beef heart and chop it finely.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chopped beef heart, horseradish, Dijon mustard, onion, capers, parsley, and lemon juice.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve with crackers on the side.
