Description
A delicious Hungarian street food, Lángos is a deep-fried flatbread topped with a variety of ingredients.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt.
- Gradually add warm water and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the bowl and let it rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.
- Once risen, divide the dough into portions and flatten them into disks.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry each dough disk until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Top with minced garlic and sour cream before serving.
Notes
- Lángos can also be topped with grated cheese or other toppings.
- For a vegan option, omit the sour cream and use plant-based toppings.
