Description

A creamy and flavorful pot pie filled with jumbo lump crab, vegetables, and a flaky crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 pie crust


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, add onions, celery, and bell pepper, and sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add heavy cream and Old Bay seasoning, then bring to a simmer.
  5. Fold in the crab and parsley, then remove from heat.
  6. Pour mixture into the pie crust and cover with a second crust.
  7. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

  • For a richer flavor, use a mix of crab and shrimp.
