- 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, add onions, celery, and bell pepper, and sauté until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream and Old Bay seasoning, then bring to a simmer.
- Fold in the crab and parsley, then remove from heat.
- Pour mixture into the pie crust and cover with a second crust.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of crab and shrimp.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
