A delightful Polish dessert consisting of layers of cream between flaky pastry.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, butter, sugar, and salt until crumbly. Slowly add cold water to form a dough.
- Divide the dough, roll out two rectangles, and place on greased baking sheets.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- For the cream, heat the milk in a saucepan. In a bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, and egg yolks, then slowly add hot milk.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan, cooking until thick. Stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar until peaks form.
- Layer one baked pastry with the cream, then top with the second pastry.
- Chill before serving.

- Ensure the cream is fully cooled before layering.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle cocoa powder on top before serving.
