Ingredients

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil, then add flour and stir until mixed.
- Cool down the mixture and add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- For the filling, mix milk, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla, then cook until thickened.
- Let the filling cool and then spread it between the baked layers.
- Chill before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a bit of whipped cream to the filling.
- This cake can be made a day in advance to enhance the flavors.
