Description

A traditional Polish dessert known for its creamy filling and crispy dough.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil, then add flour and stir until mixed.
  3. Cool down the mixture and add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. For the filling, mix milk, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla, then cook until thickened.
  6. Let the filling cool and then spread it between the baked layers.
  7. Chill before serving.
