Description

Delicious and fluffy keto-friendly bao buns filled with tender beef.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1 egg, beaten


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, sauté the ground beef with garlic and ginger until browned.
  2. Add soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring to combine.
  3. In a bowl, mix almond flour, coconut flour, and baking powder.
  4. Add boiling water and beaten egg to the flour mixture, stir until combined.
  5. Knead the dough and divide it into small balls.
  6. Flatten each ball and add a spoonful of beef mixture, folding to seal.
  7. Steam the bao buns for about 15 minutes until fluffy.
  8. Serve warm with green onions.
