Description

A rich and flavorful lamb korma stew, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lamb, cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped


Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger, sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the lamb and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the curry powder and cook for another minute.
  5. Add the yogurt, coconut milk, salt, and water; bring to a simmer.
  6. Cover and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
  7. Stir in the cilantro before serving.
