Description

A delicious dish featuring tender lamb sweetbreads with a perfectly crispy edge.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lamb sweetbreads
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the lamb sweetbreads in milk for at least 2 hours.
  2. Drain and rinse the sweetbreads under cold water.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Dredge the sweetbreads in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Carefully add the sweetbreads to the skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the sweetbreads marinate overnight in the milk.
  • Make sure the oil is hot enough before adding the sweetbreads to ensure a crispy texture.
