Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add egg yolk and cold water; mix until dough forms. Press into a tart pan.
  4. Bake crust for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. While crust is baking, mix almond flour, honey, heavy cream, eggs, lavender, and vanilla in a bowl.
  6. Pour the almond filling into the baked tart crust.
  7. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set and lightly browned.
  8. Let cool before serving.

  • For a stronger lavender flavor, steep dried lavender in cream before mixing with other ingredients.
