Deliciously tangy lemon bars infused with the aromatic flavor of lavender.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar.
- Mix in flour and salt until well combined.
- Press the dough into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lavender, baking powder, and lemon zest.
- Pour the mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 20–25 minutes until set.
- Let it cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger lavender flavor, let the dried lavender steep in the lemon juice for a few hours before using.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
