Ingredients

  • 5 large eggs, separated

  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar, for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
  3. Mix in the warm milk and melted butter.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the egg mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold the egg whites into the batter gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
