Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground meat (beef or pork)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup flour (for dusting)
  • 1/4 cup butter (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them.
  2. In a skillet, cook the onions until golden brown, then add the ground meat, cooking until it is browned. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix the mashed potatoes with the egg and flour until a dough forms.
  4. Take a portion of the potato dough, flatten it, and place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling to form a dumpling and seal the edges.
  6. Boil the dumplings in salted water until they float to the top, then cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, topped with melted butter.
