- 4 pounds beef short ribs
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine bourbon, maple syrup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper.
- Season short ribs with salt and pepper, then sear them in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
- Remove short ribs from the pot and pour the sauce mixture into the pot, scraping up any browned bits.
- Return short ribs to the pot, cover, and place in the oven.
- Bake for 4 hours or until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
- Remove from oven and let rest before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the short ribs in the sauce overnight.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad.
