- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry the potato balls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped chives or bacon bits to the mixture.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
