Description

Menemen is a traditional Turkish dish made with eggs, tomatoes, and peppers, served hot and perfect for breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes and red pepper flakes, cooking until the tomatoes break down.
  4. Make small wells in the mixture and crack the eggs into the wells.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook until the eggs are set to your liking.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot.
