Description

Delicate, sweet, and crunchy, Moroccan Honey Almond Cigars are a delightful dessert filled with a rich almond paste and drizzled with honey.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds, finely ground
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground almonds, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush with melted butter.
  4. Place a small amount of the almond mixture at one end and roll it tightly into a cigar shape.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and repeat with remaining phyllo and filling.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle with honey while warm.

  • Make sure to keep the phyllo dough covered with a damp cloth to prevent it from drying out.
