Description

This easy no-knead Turkish bread is soft, fluffy, and perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and yeast together.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours, until the surface is bubbly.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat.
  5. Once heated, carefully remove the pot, place the dough onto a floured surface, and shape it gently.
  6. Transfer the dough to parchment paper, then carefully place it into the hot Dutch oven.
  7. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, uncover, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, allow bread to cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar.
  • Store any leftovers in a paper bag to keep the crust crispy.
