- 3 pounds short ribs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons scallions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the short ribs in a large baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the foil, increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C), and bake for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For best results, marinate the short ribs overnight.
- Serve with steamed rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the glaze.
