Description

Deliciously fragrant morning buns infused with orange and cardamom, perfect for a cozy breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cardamom.
  3. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, orange zest, orange juice, and milk.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  7. Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Let cool and serve.

  • For a sweeter version, add more sugar to the dough.
