A rich and creamy pasta dish inspired by the flavors of Mardi Gras.
Ingredients

- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound andouille sausage, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sausage and cook until browned; remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Mix in Cajun seasoning, then return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet.
- Add cooked penne pasta and Parmesan cheese, tossing to coat.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through, then garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be made spicier by adding more Cajun seasoning.
- Pair with garlic bread for a complete meal.
