- 2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon shortening
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Shape the mixture into egg shapes and place them on a baking sheet.
- Refrigerate the eggs for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt chocolate chips with shortening in a microwave or double boiler.
- Dip each peanut butter egg in melted chocolate, coating completely.
- Place the coated eggs back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
Notes
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Optional: Add a sprinkle of sea salt on the chocolate before it sets for added flavor.
