Description

Delicious peppermint stripe cookies perfect for the holidays.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract, mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra peppermint flavor, add crushed peppermint candies on top before baking.
