Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup edible flower petals


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, melt the butter and mix with honey and sugar.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with buttermilk and vanilla.
  6. Fold in the edible flower petals.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let cool before dusting with powdered sugar and additional petals.
