- 4 croissants, torn into pieces
- 1 cup pistachios, chopped
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 cup powdered sugar, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish.
- Spread the torn croissant pieces in an even layer in the prepared dish.
- Sprinkle chopped pistachios over the croissants.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, salt, and cardamom.
- Pour the egg mixture over the croissant and pistachio layers.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
