Description

This Pistachio Croissant Bake is a decadent and delightful dish perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish.
  3. Spread the torn croissant pieces in an even layer in the prepared dish.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pistachios over the croissants.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, salt, and cardamom.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the croissant and pistachio layers.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
