Description

Delicious homemade pistachio croissants with a rich, nutty filling.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add chilled butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in milk and egg, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough gently and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into triangles.
  6. Place a spoonful of chopped pistachios on each triangle and roll them up.
  7. Place rolled croissants on a baking sheet and let rise.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of almond extract to the pistachio filling.
