Description

Delicious croissants filled with a rich pistachio paste, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup shelled unsalted pistachios
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon almond extract
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend the pistachios and powdered sugar until fine.
  3. Add almond extract and mix to form a paste.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into triangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of pistachio paste at the base of each triangle.
  6. Roll the pastry from the base to the tip to form a croissant shape.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Mix the beaten egg with water and brush over each croissant.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, toast the pistachios before blending.
