Description

A delicious twist on the classic tiramisu featuring the creamy and nutty flavors of pistachio.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder, for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend pistachios and sugar until fine.
  2. In a bowl, mix mascarpone cheese with the pistachio mixture.
  3. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Combine espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  5. Dip ladyfingers briefly into the espresso mixture, then layer in a serving dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone mixture.
  8. Dust the top with cocoa powder and chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter dessert, use light mascarpone cheese.
  • Garnish with crushed pistachios before serving for added texture.
