Description
A delicious and colorful combination of red and green hummus served with fun pita tree shapes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup roasted red peppers
- 1/4 cup spinach
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 whole pita breads
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth.
- Remove half the mixture and set aside.
- Add roasted red peppers to the food processor and blend until smooth for the red hummus.
- Add spinach and paprika to the reserved hummus and blend until smooth for the green hummus.
- For the pita trees, cut pita breads into tree shapes.
- Serve the red and green hummus in bowls with pita trees on the side.
Notes
- Feel free to add more spices to taste.
- Can substitute homemade hummus if preferred.
